February 21, 2026, COMMUNITY PRAY FOR OUR CITY
Saturday morning marked a powerful moment for the City of Merced. Churches from across the community and local church leaders united to lead prayer over the city. The gathering included Mayor Matthew Serratto, several city administrators, and approximately 175–200 Christians who came together in unity and faith.During the event, Mayor Serratto addressed the recent spike in crime throughout January 2026, a tragic period in which four young lives were lost. Christian leaders responded by emphasizing the urgent need for spiritual revival in Merced. They challenged believers to live boldly and faithfully—proclaiming Christ, standing firm in God’s Word, and fulfilling the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).The gathering was marked by heartfelt speeches, personal testimonies, and vibrant worship that included music, dancing, and banners—creating a visible expression of hope, unity, and commitment to the spiritual well-being of the city.

Guest Speaker: Dan Hopson, Evangelist, Lompoc CA,

Joy 4 Jesus Ministries - Supports people around the world for salvation and spiritual growth through prayers, evangelism, studying the scripture, and encouraging others.


Pastor Daniel has been called and prepared for a unique ministry known as Joy 4 Jesus. This ministry is effective because Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Through Joy 4 Jesus, Pastor Daniel and the team visit local nursing homes in Lompoc, California, where they pray with residents and share the life-giving Word of God with the wonderful people who live there.


Each Tuesday evening, Pastor Daniel disciples and evangelizes with new believers. On Saturday mornings, he can be found in shopping centers and on the streets of Lompoc, faithfully sharing the Gospel with the public.


Pastor Daniel has been married for 40 years to his beautiful wife, Lolita. Together, they have three sons and five grandchildren. He has also written his first book, I Will Exalt Thee, which is scheduled to be published soon.

January 3, 2026 CMMC Breakfast meeting

Special speaker, Ron Croft: This past Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 9AM at the Barbecue Pit Restaurant-ten solid Christian leaders from Merced County—gathered for our monthly CMMC MEETING & BREAKFAST with special guest speaker Ron Croft from the Merced Rescue Mission. Ron shared the Word of God; Matthew 14:22-32, Joshua 1:9, and Hebrews 11:6, and wove in his faith-building life stories—bumps, roads, and all the life-experiences he encountered and how God kept showing up, teaching, leading and growing his Faith. Ron's point was clear: as Christian men, we must step out in faith, in gutsy and real situations and paths. It’s what God wants. If God tells you to do it- DO IT! It was a great morning of fellowship, and CMMC has got another monthly meeting coming up next month with a guest speaker lined up, so invite a friend, all ages welcome.
